Who is it aimed at?

Paediatric Manual Handling Key Workers who have previously attended a Paediatric Manual handling Key Worker Foundation course. 

What are the key objectives?

To ensure  Key Workers maintain the skills and knowledge they require to support staff and pupils with effective, suitable and  sufficient manual handling risk assessments

 

·        Keep them up to date with developments in manual handling practices

·        Continued development of underpinning knowledge and understanding

·        Provide a forum to discuss manual handling related issues with other competent persons

·        Improve knowledge of the availability of appropriate manual handling equipment and aids

·        Maintain contact with LEA manual handling advisors

 

How will it make a difference?

Continue to provide schools with a source of competent manual handling advice that will reduce the likelihood of manual handling related accidents, injuries and ill health involving pupils and staff.
