Who is it aimed at?

Head teachers and others in schools with responsibility for managing health, safety and wellbeing

What are the objectives?

Provide head teachers and others with the knowledge and skills to recognise and assess workplace stressors in their schools and to recognise and ameliorate the effects of stress on teams and individuals

 

Key areas covered during the workshop  include:

 

·         Understanding stress and its effect on individuals and organisations

·         The legal perspective for managing stress

·         The principles of effective stress assessments and management

·          Effective techniques for managing stress in teams and individuals

·         The support available to head teachers and staff – internal and external

 

 

How will it make a difference?

Reduce the levels of sickness absence in schools attributed to work related stress by supporting Head Teachers and others to develop and maintain effective arrangements to identify and manage the factors that contribute to stress in individuals and teams.
