Welcome to Penboyr School

Penboyr Church in Wales Voluntary School is situated in the centre of the rural village of Drefach, near the town of Newcastle Emlyn.  It serves the village and surrounding areas of Cwnpengraig, Cwmhiraeth, Penboyr and Waungilwen.

There are 93 pupils between 3 and 11 years of age on the school roll.

Children are admitted to the reception class on a full-time basis at the beginning of the term in which attain their fourth birthday.

The school has received the Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark for the third time, the Eco Schools green flag, and the first leaf of the Unitary Authority Healthy Schools scheme.
