On the Road with Dylan and Eco Eli

The all-singing and all-dOn the Road with Dylan & Eco Eliancing Gregory Brothers are back on the road – and this time they are bigger and better than ever!  The dynamic duo has a new and exciting show which they will be taking to primary schools across Carmarthenshire from early March.

Dylan the Dragon our healthy school meals mascot and Eco Eli the council’s eco-friendly elephant are helping to spread the word on the importance of healthy eating and exercise and raising awareness of environmental issues such as recycling, saving energy and litter.

It will be Dylan’s first time on the road with children’s’ entertainers Paul and Adrian Gregory.  The show promises to be full of fun and games, as well as singing and dancing and will be performed to hundreds of pupils in the county.  A free CD featuring all the songs from the road show will be given to the schools so they can use it as an additional educational resource.

The show, called ‘On the Road with Dylan and Eco Eli’ is a joint initiative by Carmarthenshire County Council’s Catering and Street Scene services aimed at raising awareness of healthy living and the environment.  The council has been successful in securing funding from the Welsh Assembly Government under their Appetite for Life initiative and further plans are being made to carry out a second series of road shows during early 2010.
