Welcome to the Governor Support Unit

Carmarthenshire's Governor Support Unit provides services to School Governors across the county.

On this site you will find information about our department and links to useful resources.

The Carmarthenshire Governor Support Unit is based in St. David's Park on the outskirts of Carmarthen town.

There are over 1600 school governors spread over 131 schools across the county, and this unit provides an important role in co-ordinating the functions and duties carried out by these governors.

Governor Support has a key role within the county's Schools Support Service and comes under the umbrella of the Inclusion and Governance Department.

The Head of Service is Mr. Gareth Morgans (EDGMorgans@carmarthenshire.gov.uk) and the unit is staffed by Jane Rees, Rhianydd Jones-Evans, Anwen Fisher and Ian Rees.
