Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE)

This is your chance to have your say and to make a difference.
The deadline for submitting your reports is 28th February 2015.

Are you interested in joining a team of young reporters from around the world that report on local environmental issues in their communities?

YRE is an exciting international competition for young people aged 11-21 in Wales.

You have the opportunity of receiving both National and International recognition if you want to get involved.

  • You can cover the stories of the local environmental issues that concern you through your chosen media – you can use Written, Photographic or Video media.
  • There are 3 age categories – 11-14, 15-18 and 19-21.
  • You can base your report on any of the following 8 topics – Biodiversity, Climate Change, Energy, Coastline, Cities, Water, Waste and Agriculture & Nature.

If you want to get involved, you need to register your interest. You can do this on-line or by e-mail. So for further information, please contact: Linda Bradshaw-Wood – Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) co-ordinator in Wales.
